That's the forecast for the week here. Today and tomorrow a high of 106 and the rest of the week is between 101 and 103. Yuck!
I dislike this humid heat. Dry heat I can handle better. I can't wait to be done with school in May. Then we can move. School is the only thing keeping us in Oklahoma right now. We both want a cooler climate.
How's the weather shaping up this week for everyone else?
Re: Hot hot hot!
Ew, humid heat is the worst!! Stay inside in the AC as long as you can!
It looks like its going to be in the high 80s low 90s all week here.
In high school I lived where it was 120 in the summers. My sympathy to J, its going to be tough!
I'm right there with you. That will be brutal.
And I know it's summer so it gets hot pretty much everywhere, but I'd love to live somewhere with a dry heat and a shorter period of hot hot summer. I'm really just hoping the 100+ doesn't stay forever. Last summer it was over 100 for almost 3 months straight.
Where to in the north? New York or further? DH and I want to move to Colorado. We both love the state. It does get hot there in the summer but it's the dry heat. We've also agreed that if a job opportunity arose somewhere else, we'd take it as long as it's not any of the southern states. I don't care if Arizona is a dry heat, yuck.
I'm working on my Bachelor's in Accounting right now. As long as I stay on schedule I'll graduate next May. I have an Associates in Business Management. I'd love to find something part time or work from home so if/when we have kids I can be home with them.
DH does IT technical stuff. He works from home sort of. He basically waits for calls to be put through to him and then he goes wherever the call is. He used to work for NCR which has Walmart as their primary contract. He worked on their servers and cash registers. Now I can't remember the company name because it just changed, but their primary contract is with the local Air Force Base. He works on printers and computers. I guess the new company has a server department which he wants to get more training on the servers. The new company name just bought up his current company so there might be opportunities to move through them. We are trying to wait until after May though so I can finish school.
But if you find anything that is telecommute/work from home that is accounting related, let me know.
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
I'm in southern Virginia now. So DC/Maryland area at a minimum. No desire for NYC. Wet heat/dry heat. It's all bad as far as I'm concerned.
